Basic features of this device are:

• full linearity of modulated signal,
  
• central frequency stability is equal to reference stability,
  
• maximum deviation is precisely determined,
  
• perfect channel separation,
  
• there are no intermodulation distortion in modulation process,
  
• compatibility with digital audio signal sources,
  
• aging doesn't affect system performances.
  

The exciter comprises following modules:

• Either A / D converter (analog input) or speed converter (digital input),
  
• Oversamplers with digital pre-emphasis,
  
• Digital (numerical) stereo coder, that forms digital representative of the composite signal, with RDS coder included on option,
  
• Direct Digital Synthesizer, which converts digital inputs to the FM modulated analog signal,
  
• Frequency converter, that converts FM modulated signal to operating channel in FM range, in three steps, in order to eliminate spurious output frequencies,
  
• Synthesizer with VCO, and clock generator,
  
• Filter and attenuator for tuning the exciter output RF level,
  
• Low pass filter with direct and reflected power meter, and
  
• Output amplifier with output power of 30 W.
