IMTEL Microwaves Inc. in its production program has 3 dB directional couplers for FM (87.5 MHz – 108 MHz), VHF (174 MHz – 230 MHz), and UHF (470 MHz – 860 MHz) frequency bands. It is capable to quickly develop and produce couplers for other frequency ranges and other type of coupling, using different techniques of realizing the coupling.

3 dB directional coupler is TEM–mode coupled four-port hybrid structure, matched on all ports to 50 Ohm . For stronger couplings and higher power “broad-side coupled” technique is used. In this technique, coupled lines are parallel and the signal from input port appears at coupled and direct output port with phase shift of 90 degrees. Fourth port is isolated and terminated with 50 Ohm load.
